NEC has announced two new short throw projectors, NP510WS and NP610S. Both of these projectors provides a native resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels, 600:1 contrast ratio, 2100 ANSI lumens for NP510WS, 2600 ANSI lumens for NP610, lower power consumption and noise level (29dB) for nearly silent operation and utilize ECO ModeTM technology for up to 5000 hours of lamp life.
NEC NP510WS and NP610S also built-in with 7W speaker, connectivity ports including VGA, DVI-I, HDCP, RCA, S-Video and Ethernet. The NP510WS and NP610S will available for purchase starting January 2010 for an estimated street price of $949 and $999, respectively.

Sanyo has just released the new dual-lamp projector, LP-XF1000. It has new optical engine called QuaDriveTM Engine technology which offer 12,000 lumens. Sanyo LP-XF1000 Dual Lamp Projector features a higher resolution based on dual-lamp light combining technology and a high contrast ratio of 4000:1 for a 1024×768 resolution.
